What’s New for the 2025 Ford Escape?
Drivers in the Livonia area have desired the popular Ford Escape for several decades, and its appeal continues into the 2025 model year. While the 2025 Escape is a mid-generation model, it does bring a few minor changes online for you to enjoy. Specifically, a few of the Escape’s standard and available features have been shuffled to other trim levels. Otherwise, the Escape is unchanged from the 2024 model year.
The Escape’s style is defined by a deeply angled and well-defined hood and a tall, arched roof. Smooth contouring curves upward over a lower ledge over the sides of this compact crossover SUV. The minimized bumper turns downward on the front end and fades into vertical air inlets. The hexagon-like grille has a unique mesh pattern that radiates outward. The headlights are styled with a pair of rectangular LED lights capped on all sides by LED bars.
The four powertrains that were offered with the 2024 Ford Escape are also available for 2025. The entry-level trims are equipped with a three-cylinder, turbo 1.5-liter engine and an eight-speed auto transmission. This is a 180-horsepower system with standard front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive. A turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, 250-horsepower engine is also offered with standard all-wheel drive. The Escape is available with a hybrid 2.5-liter engine that generates 192 total horsepower. In addition, a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder plug-in hybrid engine that generates 210 horsepower is available. It features front-wheel drive and a CVT.
The first few trim levels are available with rear USB ports, an 8-inch infotainment system screen, forward collision mitigation, a dual-zone auto climate control system, wireless smartphone app connections, a power liftgate, lane keeping, a push-button ignition, a blind-spot warning system, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, and a few other features. Higher trims add leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, a tow package, rain-sensing wipers, automated parking, a head-up display, a surround-view camera, a 13.2-inch infotainment system screen, rear auto braking, parking sensors, a digital instrument panel, a navigation system, and other features.
