What’s New for the 2025 Ford Mustang?
The Ford Mustang is the ultimate pony car and is rightfully recognized for its captivating design and thrilling performance. In 2024, the Mustang’s seventh generation debuted with bumper-to-bumper updates. In 2025, the Anniversary Edition is introduced to the GT trims, and the all-new Mustang GTD will be available.
The Anniversary Edition is a limited-edition variation celebrating the Mustang’s 60th anniversary. It will be available in four colors: Brittany Blue, Vapor Blue, Race Red, and Wimbledon White. The Anniversary Edition has special design elements and includes a unique digital gauge cluster inspired by the SVT Cobra between 1999 and 2001.
The Mustang GTD is a street-legal supercar that is styled with carbon fiber body panels and a rear wing. Its 5.2-liter V8 engine produces 800 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. In addition, its engineering includes an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and an advanced suspension with Multimatic Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve tech.
With the exception of these additions, the 2025 Mustang is similar to the 2024 version. The coupe and convertible body styles and five core versions are available. These are the EcoBoost, the EcoBoost Premium, the GT, the GT Premium, and the Dark Horse. The EcoBoost trims are powered by a four-cylinder, turbo 2.3-liter engine that puts out 315 horsepower. It features a 10-speed auto transmission. The GT trim levels have a V8, 5.0-liter engine that produces 480 horsepower. It also has a 10-speed auto transmission. The Dark Horse has an upgraded V8 engine that delivers 500 horsepower. It is available with a 10-speed automatic transmission or an enhanced six-speed manual transmission. All body styles and trims have rear-wheel drive.
The 2025 Ford Mustang is loaded with modern features that take your driving experience to a higher level. Features that are standard or available include a digital instrument panel, a 13.2-inch touch display screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a wireless hotspot, lane keeping, multi-color cabin lights, an auto-dimming rear mirror, rear parking sensors, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, Recaro sport seats, adaptive cruise control, heated front seats, remote start, and more.
