2025 Ford Mustang vs 2024 Ford Mustang

Serving Livonia, MI

The 2024 Ford Mustang introduced this iconic pony car’s seventh generation, bringing in exciting updates to its design and features. In 2025, the only changes made to the Mustang are the availability of the limited-edition Anniversary Edition and the high-performance Mustang GTD model. What should you know about the Mustang before making your next auto purchase?

Performance

The four powertrains available with the 2024 Mustang are also offered in 2025. These include a turbo 2.3-liter, four-cylinder, 315-horsepower engine and a 5.0-liter, V8, 480-horsepower system. The other powertrain available is only offered with the Mustang Dark Horse coupe. This is a 500-horsepower upgraded version of the standard V8. The all-new Mustang GTD features a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that generates 815 horsepower. It is also engineered with a pushrod-actuated suspension, a rear transaxle, and adjustable dampers.

Appearance

If you select the Mustang Anniversary Edition, your vehicle will be styled with 20-inch wheels designed with red aluminum center caps and other design updates on the exterior. Inside, a 1967-inspired digital gauge screen adds distinction. Overall, the Mustang’s new look introduced in 2024 will carry on in 2025 without change. The front end displays a wide grille with a subtly curved bottom and angled support columns on the sides. The dark LED headlights are topped by a row of three LED bars. Select trims have a hood vent. The sides are designed with a lower accent piece that runs from wheel to wheel and powerful rear haunches.

Features

Across the Mustang’s five core trim levels, its features are unchanged between 2024 and 2025. Some of its standard and available features are a 13.2-inch infotainment system screen, a blind-spot alert system, a digital instrument panel, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a wireless internet hotspot, a premium sound system, a wireless device charging pad, an auto-dimming rear mirror, multi-color ambient light, adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, paddle shifters and other desired features.
