With significant improvements over the previous models, the 2023 Ranger is anticipated to be one of Ford’s most capable, sophisticated, and adaptable trucks. In light of owner feedback, Ford Motor Company has gone above and beyond to build a vehicle that exceeds drivers’ expectations. Let’s examine the 2023 Ford Ranger’s performance, features, appearance, and other attributes to discover what to expect from the new model year.

2023 Ranger Engine & Transmission

A 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is a carry-over from last year and can produce 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. For better torque, towing, payload, and off-road capabilities, Ford has also added a 3.0L V6 turbodiesel as an option, giving drivers more flexibility in their choice. The 2023 Ford Ranger comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but depending on trim, you can also choose between a part-time or full-time four-wheel drivetrain. The new transmission options are a six-speed manual or an upgraded 10-speed automatic.

2023 Ranger Cargo, Towing, & Payload Capacity

Ford has upgraded the frame from the previous model year to provide users with more cargo and storage space. Now that the wheelbase is 50 mm longer and the track is 50 mm wider, workers can easily fit their tools, equipment, and essential items like pallets or plywood sheets in the bed of the tuck.

The 2022 Ranger has a payload capacity of 1,905 pounds and a towing capacity of 7,500 pounds. On the 2023 model, we anticipate a slight increase in those values.

Interior Features

The 2023 Ford Ranger is packed with the latest technology and innovative features that take your driving pleasure to a whole new level. The cabin is both stylish and modern, and the choice of premium quality, soft-touch materials gives the interior a lovely and sumptuous feel. The center console is equipped with a 10.1- or 12-inch portrait-oriented infotainment touchscreen with Ford’s SYNC 4 user interface, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The touchscreen has also replaced many conventional driving controls that were previously placed on the dashboard. Other interior features include USB ports, a wireless charging pad, zone lighting, and a 360-degree camera. With larger door pockets, an overhead glovebox, and bins underneath and behind the back seats and on the center console, the new Ranger offers a lot more storage spaces than the previous model.

Exterior Features

Ford has taken an enormous step forward when it comes to the design and looks of the Ranger. The 2023 model looks far more futuristic, refined and classy when compared to the 2022 variant. The meticulously crafted grille combined with a prominent front bumper gives the truck a more pronounced and menacing look, while the C-shaped LED headlights seamlessly blend in with the overall design language. Moreover, an evident shoulder line runs through the sides and merges into the bolder wheel arches. At the rear, the upgraded taillights give the vehicle a broader look, making it visible from a long distance.

Safety Features

The 2023 Ford Ranger is loaded with best-in-class safety features, including Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Keeping System, and Surround-View Camera. Safety features remain the same as the previous model as of now.
