The 2025 Bronco Sport is available with five trim levels, and the first four are outfitted with an 181-horsepower, three-cylinder, turbo 1.5-liter engine. The top Badlands trim comes with a 250-horsepower, four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter engine. Every Bronco Sport is equipped with standard all-wheel drive and an auto eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2025 Ford Explorer’s entry-level engine is a turbo 2.3-liter, four-cylinder unit that produces 300 horsepower. The more advanced engine is a 400-horsepower, turbo 3.0-liter, V6 system. All Explorer SUVs have a 10-speed auto transmission with standard rear-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is optional for all trim levels.
Appearance
Staying true to its iconic nameplate’s design, the Bronco Sport has a boxy, standout look. From the side view, you can appreciate the Bronco Sport’s tall, flat roof, thick body molding, and pinstripe definition line. The nose is tall and subtly rounded, with a wraparound grille that holds large LED headlights. The headlights are styled with an LED crossbar and circular element.
The Ford Explorer is a larger model with a confident, subtly slanted profile. It shows off five-spoke wheels, dark molding that flares over the door panels, and dramatically angled side contours. The nose is styled with a large, almost rectangular grille and fascinating LED headlights mounted horizontally.

Depending on the trim level selected, the Ford Bronco Sport may be equipped with a Bang & Olufsen sound system, a navigation system, a 360-degree camera, heated front seats, a household power outlet, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, remote start, driver’s memory controls, a wireless phone charging pad, adaptive cruise control, a 13.2-inch touch display screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and numerous other features.
