Set against the backdrop of Tooele Valley’s dramatic landscape, surrounded by the Stansbury and Oquirrh mountains, the Ford Performance Racing School offers the Raptor Assault program exclusively for F-150 Raptor and Raptor R owners. This program is designed to unlock the potential of the Raptor models in a controlled, off-road environment, combining classroom learning with practical, hands-on driving experiences.
2024 Raptor Assault Event Highlights
The Raptor Assault program offers an in-depth introduction to off-road driving, showcasing the powerful features and capabilities of the Ford Raptor models. The experience includes a classroom session covering the vehicles’ technical aspects, followed by hands-on driving in diverse terrains. Participants engage with challenges across rock, clay, and sand, gaining a thorough understanding of their vehicle’s handling and performance in demanding off-road conditions.
During the practical driving sessions, participants are not left to figure things out on their own. At each section of the course, on-site Ford Performance Racing instructors are available to provide step-by-step guidance. These experts offer tips and demonstrate techniques to help drivers master the dynamics of their vehicles in real time. This blend of classroom learning and direct, hands-on instruction helps drivers learn in real-time challenging conditions under expert supervision.
Bill Brown Ford’s Experience At The 2024 Raptor Assault School
The Bill Brown Ford Media team had the unique opportunity to experience the program alongside the Racing School’s Safety Coordinator and on-site Medic, capturing dynamic off-road action throughout the day. Our adventure began with a caravan through the historic Jacob City trailhead, leading to challenging rock crawls and handling courses that tested the limits of the Raptor and Raptor R.
As we climbed the rugged terrain towards the Fivemile Pass recreation area, we were treated to breathtaking mountain views and true 4×4 trails that showcased the vehicles’ capabilities. After a stop for lunch on the ridge, drivers had the chance to attempt an impressive hill climb and hill descent section followed by a drive down Sunshine Canyon.
Once back at base, Raptor owners wrapped up the afternoon by taking on the Baja and jumping courses. Raptor R owners also had the chance to take on the sand drag track. The instructors took everyone on a final demo lap – allowing drivers to experience the Baja track from a professional driver’s perspective. The day was completed with a final Raptor caravan back to the Ford Performance Racing School.

Qualifications For Participating In Raptor Assault
The program is available to individuals who have purchased a 2023 or 2024 F-150 Raptor. To participate, owners must have taken delivery of a qualifying vehicle and are required to register for the Raptor Assault program within one year from the delivery date. Ownership verification is conducted using the vehicle’s VIN. Attendance is limited to one owner or qualified participant per vehicle/VIN.
