2025 Ford Maverick vs 2024 Ford Maverick
Serving Livonia, MI
The compact Ford Maverick pickup truck is a capable, well-appointed option for drivers who do not need the size of a full-size model. The Maverick debuted in 2022 and continues to be in its first generation in 2025. Compared to the 2024 version, the 2025 Ford Maverick is significantly improved. In fact, it shows off updates to its interior, exterior, trim options, and capabilities.
Performance
In 2025, the Maverick’s trim levels expand with the addition of the Lobo. Now, the trim lineup includes the base XL as well as the XLT, Lobo, Lariat, and Tremor. The new trim level features a turbo four-cylinder engine that produces 238 horsepower. It also comes with all-wheel drive, paddle shifters for the seven-speed auto transmission, a lowered suspension, sport-tuned steering, and enhanced braking. The XL, XLT, and Lariat trim levels are available with this engine or a 191-horsepower hybrid engine. The Lobo and Tremor are only available with the turbo engine. Select trim levels for 2024 and 2025 are also equipped with hill descent control, upgraded powertrain cooling, terrain driving modes, a locking rear differential, Trail Control, and a few additional mechanical upgrades.
Appearance
If you select the 2025 Maverick Lobo, your truck will stand out from the other trim levels with 19-inch rally-style wheels. For all trim levels, the 2025 Maverick shows off a fresh look with updated wheel designs, darker headlamps, and a reshaped grille and bumper. A body-colored band separates the wide grille and flat bumper. The C-shaped LED headlights spin off from the grille. The 2025 Maverick shows off a flat hood and a strongly raked windshield. The sides have a pinstripe element that rounds over the fenders and across the lower door panels. A triangular air vent is mounted near the side mirrors. Available or standard exterior features are all-terrain tires, front tow hooks, a power-locking tailgate, skid plates, a trailer hitch, and a spray-in bedliner.
Features
Inside, the 2025 Maverick Lariat now comes with Smoke Truffle coloring and bronze accents. For all trim levels, the 8-inch touch display screen in the 2024 Maverick is replaced by a 13.2-inch infotainment system screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also new additions for the 2025 model year. Features that are offered in both model years are forward collision mitigation, lane-keeping assistance, a dual-zone auto climate control system, a household power outlet, heated seats, synthetic leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, voice controls for the navigation system, a Bang & Olufsen sound system with eight speakers, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, lane centering, intersection collision mitigation and more.
