Grace West, a 2021 graduate of Plymouth High School, is set to take the stage on The Voice’s live shows starting on May 15th. Her journey on the show thus far has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. As a proud Michigander, 19-year-old Grace West has captured the hearts of her fellow community members, who have been rooting for her every step of her journey.
Grace’s journey to The Voice didn’t start overnight; it resulted from years of hard work, dedication, and a deep passion for music. There is no doubt that Grace will continue to make her Metro Detroit hometown proud as she takes on the live shows of The Voice.
The Voice Blind Audition
Grace’s journey on The Voice began with an unforgettable blind audition that turned the chairs of both Blake Shelton and Niall Horan. Grace’s soulful rendition of Pam Tillis’ “Maybe It Was Memphis” showcased her incredible talent and potential, ultimately leading her to join Team Blake as the final chair turn of the country superstar’s coaching career on the show.Â
The Voice Battle Round
During the Battle Round, Grace’s soulful duet with Carlos Rising of Randy Travis’ “I Told You So” left a lasting impression on the judges and audience. With her undeniable talent and stage presence, Blake Shelton crowned Grace West as the winner of their Battle Round, advancing her into the highly-anticipated Knockout Round of The Voice.
The Voice Knockout Round
During the Knockout Round, Grace’s standout performance of Dolly Parton’s “Here You Come Again” showcased her unmatched talent and earned her a well-deserved spot in the Playoff Round.
The Voice Playoff Round
During the Playoff Round, Grace’s performance of The Judds’ classic hit, “Love Is Alive, ” showcased her incredible vocal range and timeless twang. Her rendition earned her a spot in the Live Show Semi-Finals, where she will compete alongside the top eight singers.
Grace West Performed at Bill Brown Ford’s At-Home Concert Series in 2020
Bill Brown Ford in Livonia, Michigan, was incredibly fortunate enough to have Grace West as one of the incredible performers in our At Home Concert Series in 2020. This concert series celebrated local Michigan talent, providing a platform for artists to showcase their skills and share their passion for music with the community when live music was on pause.
