The XLT model of the Explorer is powered by a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that produces 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, with intelligent four-wheel drive available as an option. The XLT also has a towing capacity of 5,300 pounds, thanks to its powerful EcoBoost engine.

In terms of dimensions, the Explorer XLT is 198.8 inches long, 89.3 inches wide, 69.9 inches high, and has a wheelbase of 119.1 inches. This provides plenty of cabin space, making it an ideal SUV for families and outdoor adventures. The XLT has a seating capacity of seven and a cargo capacity of 87.8 cubic feet. The cargo space behind the second row is 47.9 cubic feet, while the cargo volume with all seats up is 18.2 cubic feet.
