What's New on the 2021 Ford Explorer?

The Ford Explorer has updated technology, power, and safety. The Ford Co-Pilot 360 Safety features now come standard with every trim, and the standard touchscreen size has increased from 2019's four inches to eight inches. The max towing capability has also increased over 600 pounds from 2019 to a possible 5,600 lbs with the Trailer Tow package.

With rear-wheel drive coming standard instead of front-wheel drive like the previous generation of Ford Explorers, on-road handling comes easily to the 2021 Explorer. Farmington, MI drivers will find the Explorer easy and comfortable to drive on different road conditions or in poor weather. Starting with this big update, the entire Explorer was revamped from the ground up to be exactly what Livonia drivers are looking for.

Safety Features

For the first time, the Ford Co-Pilot 360 safety suite comes standard with every new Ford Explorer. This advanced system of driver-assist technologies includes a lane-keeping system, blind spot information system and automatic emergency braking. It also includes automatic high beam lighting and a rear backup camera. These features were included to prevent accidents and keep Livonia drivers safe.
