The Heritage models have an optional black soft top or an Oxford white-painted hard top. These new models provide a distinctive look that will appeal to fans of the classic retro Bronco design.
2023 Ford Bronco Trim Levels
The 2023 Ford Bronco comes in ten distinct trim levels, catering to a wide range of preferences. Whether the powerful Raptor or the special edition Heritage, each trim offers unique features and capabilities to suit various off-road adventures or everyday driving.
Base
The 2023 basic Bronco model offers a thrilling drive with minimal extras. It has a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine or an optional 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6. The 2-door Bronco comes with a standard 7-speed manual, while the 4-door or V6 models come with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The 10-speed automatic with the 2.3-liter engine includes Trail Control and Trail Turn Assist, and opting for the 2.7-liter V6 adds Trail One-Pedal Driving. Modes for the Terrain Management System include Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, and Sand. Available packages include the Sasquatch Package.

The Terrain Management System in the Black Diamond model adds the Rock-Crawl G.O.A.T. Mode. The options and packages available for the Black Diamond model are the same as for the Big Bend.

The Everglades, built on the Black Diamond trim, has added features such as bolt-on front and rear fenders, a modular bumper with winch capabilities, an air intake snorkel, and LED headlights.
It also comes with the hardtop as standard and has the option of dual hardtop/soft top. The Everglades comes with all the features of the Mid and Sasquatch Packages, plus vinyl seats, a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a full-size spare tire.
Raptor
The 2023 Raptor is the top-of-the-line model in the Bronco lineup, boasting a sturdy boxed steel frame, 13.1 inches of ground clearance, and a fortified HOSS 4.0 suspension system with Fox live valve semi-active dampers optimized for race-ready performance. Powering the Raptor is a potent 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 engine delivering 418 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque, fitted with a 10-speed automatic transmission and On-Demand 4WD system.
Available only as a 4-door model, the Raptor comes standard with a hardtop and features heavy-duty front and rear bumpers, full-vehicle steel bash plates, high coverage fender flares, rock rails, and a reinforced swing gate, all designed to increase its off-road capabilities. Its upgraded tow kit also raises its towing capacity to 4,500 pounds.
Distinguished by its unique body parts, including its hood, taillights, and removable fenders, the Raptor’s interior is equally impressive with vinyl seats, Raptor-branded badges, and floor liners, and the option for leather seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat, and an 8-way power passenger seat. The Raptor is equipped with the standard Mid and High Packages and the available Lux Package and features a 12-inch digital instrument cluster.
Heritage Edition
The 2023 Heritage Edition is inspired by the original Bronco and features retro styling with plaid seats, white wheels, and a white grille with red BRONCO lettering. It is built on the Big Bend model and comes with the Mid Package and Sasquatch Package included, as well as a white hard top.
Heritage Limited Edition
The Heritage Limited Edition takes the Badlands trim as its base and infuses a touch of nostalgia with leather and perforated plaid seats and a unique luxurious steering wheel. This edition comes equipped with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine and includes the Mid Package and the High, Lux, and Sasquatch Packages.
Exterior
The 2023 Ford Bronco pays homage to its first-generation predecessor with its rugged and boxy silhouette, prominent wheel arches, and durable trim pieces. Designed for off-road performance, the Bronco features short overhangs that allow for best-in-class break-over, allowing it to navigate steep inclines and sharp drops without fear of damage.
The Bronco offers an immersive outdoor experience thanks to its removable body panels. The roof can be removed in three sections on the two-door model: the front left, right, and rear. With its longer wheelbase, the four-door model has additional roof removal options, including a standard soft cloth top and an optional hardtop with four removable doors: front, left and right, middle, and rear.
The 2023 Ford Bronco offers a customizable, open-air driving experience, regardless of body style. The doors and roof panels are designed with ease of removal and installation in mind, making it effortless for a single occupant to interchange them. Ford has taken the extra time to develop user-friendly components that can be easily removed and reattached.

Cargo Space
The Bronco's four-door variant offers a cargo capacity of 38.3 cubic feet behind the back seats and 83 cubic feet when the seats are folded. The two-door Bronco has 22.4 cubic feet of cargo room, and with the rear seats folded down, the space increases to 52.3 cubic feet.
Interior Features
The interior of the Ford Bronco caters to both outdoors enthusiasts and daily drivers, offering both comfort and durability. Inspired by the first-generation Bronco, the interior features a bright instrument cluster and an 8-inch (or optionally 12-inch on higher trims) center display powered by Ford's SYNC 4 technology with Android and Apple car play. However, the Bronco's off-road capabilities are also evident in its interior design.
It has strategically placed grab handles and attachment points for various devices, such as cameras or radios, on the top of the instrument panel, complete with 12-volt and USB power connections. For those who expect to get their Bronco dirty, it can be equipped with marine-grade vinyl seating and washable flooring with integrated drain holes to make clean-up a breeze. Updated Technology
Despite its rugged exterior, the 2023 Ford Bronco's interior is equipped with the latest technology. The SYNC 4 Infotainment System provides cloud-connected navigation and alerts for traffic and weather, and regular software updates allow for improving existing features and adding new ones. The Bronco is the only Ford vehicle to feature the FordPass Performance app, which includes off-road navigation that will enable you to explore trails and uncharted territory.
The FordPass Performance app also lets you record and send video and vehicle telemetry data directly to your phone to capture and share your off-road adventures. Whether tackling rugged terrain or cruising through the city, the Ford Bronco has the technology to keep you connected and informed. Other off-road features include:
Trail Control: Available only on automatic transmissions, Trail Control functions as an off-road cruise control at low speeds.
Trail Turn Assist: To help in low-speed, technically challenging off-road turns, the Bronco can apply negative torque to the inside rear wheels to help reduce its turning radius.
Trail 1-Pedal Drive: Available only on automatic transmissions, this feature makes braking intuitive. Just lift your foot off the gas to come to a complete stop.
Bronco G.O.A.T Modes
G.O.A.T. Modes, standing for "Go Over Any Terrain," the G.O.A.T. allow for current terrains to be specified, such as Slippery or Sand. In return, the Bronco will adjust various settings in the SUV to give the best driving performance. Five G.O.A.T modes come standard on every Bronco, with more to upgrade on specific models.
Normal: Default mode that provides a more conservative drive. It's perfect for getting groceries or dropping your kids off at school.
Eco: Helps you maximize your fuel economy.
Sport: For a more sporty feel, this mode locks in 4 automatic and changes the throttle response for your drive.
Slippery: Great for less-than-ideal conditions, such as rainy weather. This mode also locks in 4 automatic.
Sand: The perfect balance of wheel spin and wheel grip. It locks your rear differential and puts your Bronco in 4 high.
*Rock Crawl, Baja, and Mud/Ruts modes are available on certain Ford Bronco trim models.
New HOSS 3.0 Suspension System
The new HOSS 3.0 suspension system is offered as standard equipment on the 2023 Bronco for Wildtrak trims. This upgraded suspension includes Fox 2.5-inch internal bypass dampers, the Ford Performance Severe-Duty upgraded steering rack from the Bronco Raptor, upgraded inner and outer tie rods, a rear stabilizer bar, and off-road competition-inspired spring rates, among other upgrades. These enhancements ensure that the 2023 Bronco is equipped to handle even the toughest off-road challenges in Michigan.

Safety Features
The Ford Bronco is available with Ford Co-Pilot360 technology with features such as emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keep assist for life back on paved roads. Certain trims also feature an Off-Road Hero Switch Pack above the center console, which includes six silicon-sealed switches for quick access to off-road features such as front and rear differential locks.

Engine Options & Transmission
Every 2023 Bronco trim aside from the Raptor is available in a two- or four-door option, with either a 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 or a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine. The 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine generates a substantial 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque, while the 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 churns out an impressive 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque.
The four-cylinder engine can be coupled with either a 7-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission, whereas the twin-turbo V6 is exclusively offered with the 10-speed automatic transmission. The 4WD is standard on all the configurations of the Bronco lineup.
The Ford Bronco Raptor comes equipped with a massively powerful 3.0-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 that cranks out a whopping 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. The Raptor offers the most powerful engine in the lineup, exclusively in a four-door configuration. With such scintillating capabilities, the high-performance SUV can easily surmount the most rugged terrains and toughest off-roads. The 3.0-liter V-6 is the only engine available in the Raptor, and it is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
New for the 2023 model year, The Heritage edition of the Ford Bronco is powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, which produces 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes standard with a 7-speed manual transmission, but you can also opt for a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.
The Heritage Limited edition models come equipped with a slightly more powerful 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, which delivers 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. The 10-speed SelectShift automatic is the only transmission option for the Heritage Limited edition. Both engines offer impressive power and performance, making the Heritage Bronco a capable and fun vehicle to drive on and off the road.

Towing Capacity
Depending on the model and configuration, the 2023 Bronco can tow up to 3,500 pounds, making it suitable for hauling small trailers, boats, or camping gear. However, when properly equipped, the powerful Bronco Raptor can tow up to 4,500 pounds.
